Valentine’s day is the day of love. He celebrates on February 14. But actually Valentine’s Day is part of Valentine’s week. In 2021, Valentine’s week starts from February 7, Thursday. Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day or Valentine’s Day is celebrated every year on February 14. It is the day when people show their love to other people by sending gifts, chocolates or other various messages of love.

ORIGIN

Valentine’s day got its special name from a famous saint of r

Rome, ST. VALENTINE.

there are many theories about his history.mostly common is that he was a priest from Rome in the 3rd century AD. of Rome

Emperor Claudius II believed that marriage destroys a soldier’s strength. So he forbade the soldier’s marriage. But ST Valentine was always against this rule. the mighty priest believed that true love never spoils anyone’s power, but actually love has the greatest power that empowered everyone.

Thus began a secret marriage of soldiers in violation of the rule.

but when Clausius found that Valentine he was thrown into prison and condemned to death.

Eventually there he fell in love with the jailer’s daughter but was never able to tell her. When he was led to be killed on February 14th, he sent her a love letter signed ”FROM YOUR VALENTINE”….And the story began..

The first celebration

the first Valentine’s Day was celebrated in the year 496!

Back then there was no special Valentine’s Day. The Romans had a festival called Lupercalia in mid-February (the beginning of their spring).

But now there is a whole week to celebrate Valentine’s Day. the whole world celebrates it in their own ways. see how Japan celebrates Valentine’s Day.

later the Roman holiday was converted into a Christian holiday by a church. and since then it was decided to remember Saint Valentine on this day.

Over time people have used the name of Saint Valentine to show their love to those they love.

It gradually took the name of Valentine’s Day.
