iPhone 13 “Pro” models to feature 120Hz ProMotion display

The iPhone 12 model is just two months into release and the conversation about the next generation has started. A new report obtained by Gizmo China, Suggests that only the “Pro” model of the 2021 flagship iPhone (13?) Will have a 120Hz high-refresh rate display.

The entire smartphone industry has been talking about 90Hz and 120Hz high-refresh rate displays that provide a smooth touch experience. This does not change the touch pattern, but functions such as scrolling and normal animation seem much more attractive than the current standard of a 60Hz display.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the iPhone 12 model would feature high-freshened displays. However, it was later reported that Apple was not planning to pack the 120Hz display as it consumed too much power as the company was already offering 5G with its new phone which consumes a lot more power. We do. Hence the focus has shifted to the next iPhone which is very likely a high-refreshing performance pack.

According to the report obtained by Gizmo China, “at least” two of the iPhone 13 models will have a high-refresh rate 120Hz display. The report also stated that Apple will use Samsung’s display in the iPhone 13 Pro Max and also on the iPhone 13 Mini. It is unclear whether the “Mini” will be a “Pro” model next year. Other models will reportedly use LG’s OLED panel.

The report also states that only the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will have a 120Hz high-refresh rate display. Apple already uses the 120Hz display on the iPad Pro and that is from 2018 onwards. The company calls display technology “ProMotion”.

The standard iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini will reportedly use LTPS (Low Temperature Polysilicon) display panels.
